Kids Paint-a-Pot is a 1-hour session where your little maker can bring back a piece they created in one of our Crockd kids classes and give it the full colour treatment.

They’ll paint and decorate their piece using our studio glazes, then leave it with us to be professionally fired in the kiln.

Because yes, that slightly wonky bowl absolutely deserves to become a family heirloom.

👍 Perfect For

Kids who have made something at one of our Crockd kids classes and want to come back and give it the finishing touches.

Perfect for turning that wonky cup, tiny bowl, questionable sculpture or very important clay thing into a colourful, glazed and fired masterpiece they can actually keep.

💁 The Fine Print

This is a BYO pottery session for pieces made during a Crockd kids class, so don’t forget to bring their creations with you.

Each $35 booking includes a 1-hour painting + glazing session and the glazing and firing of up to 2 pottery pieces.

Got more than two masterpieces? Additional pottery can be fired for $12/kg.

Once painted, all pieces need to stay with us for firing. We’ll let you know when they’re ready to come home. Our usual turn around time is 4 weeks, but can take longer during peak periods.

Pottery can be a little unpredictable in the kiln. While we take good care of every masterpiece, cracks, glaze variations and other perfectly imperfect quirks can sometimes happen during firing.

Our hosts are great with kids and even better with clay. They keep things fun, safe, and encouraging, while helping each kid have a go and feel proud of what they make.

Time for the Finishing Touches

Step 1: Book Your Spot

Book your sesh, then bring along the pottery you made at your Crockd kids class. Easy peasy.

Step 2: Paint Your Masterpieces

Pick your colours and get painting! Spots, stripes, rainbows, silly faces — there are no wrong answers here.

Step 3: We’ll Fire It

Pick up to 2 of your creations and we’ll glaze + fire them in our kiln. In around four weeks, they’ll be shiny, finished and ready to take home.

Important deets!

Bring along the pottery your child made during their Crockd kids class. We’ll provide everything they need to paint + glaze it.

Your booking includes glazing + firing of up to 2 pieces. If they have more pottery they’d like fired, additional firing is available for $12/kg.

Unfortunately not. We can only fire pottery made using Crockd clay. Different clays fire at different temperatures and mystery clay + extremely hot kiln = a combo we’d rather not test.

Nope! Drop your little artist off, enjoy a glorious hour to yourself, then come back and admire the masterpiece.

We need a little time to work our kiln magic. Your studio will let you know when your finished pieces are ready for collection. Please allow approximately four weeks.

Please, please, PLEASE remember the pottery 😅 This is a BYO pottery session, so your child will need to bring the pieces they made at their Crockd kids class. Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds or reschedules if you arrive without your pottery.
