None. Zero. That's the whole point of "beginner." Come in with clean hands and a shaky idea of what a kiln is — we'll handle the rest.
Nobody starts creative. Everybody starts bad. That's not a bug, that's week 1.
Everything. Clay, tools, equipment, apron, firing, glazing, expert guidance for all 5 weeks. The only thing you need to bring is yourself (and maybe a waterbottle).

In hand building, we teach you the technique and you choose what to make — mugs, photo frames, bowls, plates, vases, whatever you're into.
On the wheel, you'll start with the basics (think bowls and cups) while you get the hang of it.
Either way, most people walk away with 4-6 pieces.
It's the exact right idea. This course exists specifically for people who've never touched clay. You'll be in good, equally-clueless company.
