A 90min wheel throwing session for Dad + the whole gang. Beginner-friendly, wholesome as heck and way more memorable than another pair of socks.

Dad Takes The Wheel is our special Father's Day pottery session designed for families, friends and whatever your crew looks like.

Dad gets a craft beer on arrival, then you'll spend 90min getting muddy behind the pottery wheel, learning the basics and attempting to turn a lump of clay into something vaguely resembling a cup or bowl.

Never touched clay before? Perfect.

Our hosts will guide you through the whole thing, so there's zero pressure, plenty of laughs and absolutely no expectation that Dad suddenly becomes Patrick Swayze.

🤫 What You'll Get Up To

Think of this as your taste test of the pottery life.

Dad gets a craft beer on arrival, everyone chucks on a fresh cotton apron and settles in behind their very own pottery wheel.

Your expert host will kick things off with a demo, showing you the basics of centring, shaping and actually convincing clay to do what you want it to do.

Then it's your turn.

You'll have plenty of guided wheel time to make cups, bowls and wonderfully wonky little creations of your own.

At the end, choose your favourite piece and leave the messy stuff to us. We'll fire it, clear glaze it and get it ready for collection.

No experience. No pressure. Just Dad, clay and some quality family chaos.

💁 The Fine Print

Ages: This session is designed for ages 10+. Everyone attending and participating requires their own ticket.

Dad's beer: A complimentary craft beer is included for participating dads aged 18+.

Your pottery: Your ticket includes firing + clear glazing of one favourite piece per person. Made too many masterpieces to choose? Additional pieces can be kept for $25 each.

The wonderfully unpredictable world of pottery: Clay has a mind of its own. Tiny cracks, wobbles, quirks and the occasional firing mishap can happen — even to the pros. While we'll take very good care of your creation, we can't guarantee every piece will survive the pottery gods. Unfortunately, we're unable to offer refunds or replacements for pieces that crack, break or misbehave during firing.

Basically: we can't promise a perfect pot.

But we can promise a bloody good time.

Nope. None. This class is built for beginners and the pottery-curious.

Just you, your crew, and your good vibes. We’ve got everything else sorted.

Something comfy and chill. Aprons are included, but clay has commitment issues and likes to cling. Long hair tied back is your best friend on the wheel (no one wants a fringe in their slip).

Yep! Dad gets a complimentary craft beer on arrival, and we’ll have mocktails for everyone else. You’re also welcome to BYO your favourite drinks to enjoy during the session. No snacks though. You’ll be elbows-deep in clay and your hands will absolutely not be cracker-compatible.
