Unlike traditional glazes, Ceramic Sauce works like an underglaze, giving you more control over colour while still delivering a smooth, vibrant finish after clear glazing. 💁 The Fine Print

Please note: Ceramic Sauce is an underglaze and requires a clear glaze over the top to achieve its glossy, waterproof and food-safe finish.

Without a clear glaze, the underglaze will have a matte / satin finish.

Colours may vary slightly depending on clay body, firing temperature and kiln atmosphere. Suitable for firing between Cone 4 (1,186°C) and Cone 8 (1,263°C).

Ceramic Sauce is a special type of underglaze. It provides the colour, then a clear glaze is applied over the top to create a glossy, waterproof and food-safe finish.

We recommend 2–3 even coats for the best colour coverage and vibrancy.
